Highview Christiania Church was the site of the Scrapbooking/Crafting event this last weekend. A group of women gathered to enjoy each other’s company and raise money for ALS. We had scrapbookers, loomers and ‘cheerleaders’ together for a 10 hour craft session. The event was an opportunity for the crafters to dig in and get a number of great projects accomplished in time for the upcoming Holiday season.
Thanks to some great sponsors, each person in attendance was able to leave with make-n-take projects and great door prizes.
Among some of the great donations, there was a "Strike out ALS" crocheted handbag donated by PassionKnit Bags, a retired Snowbaby scrapbooking figurine donated by Lisa Ryan, a large goodybag with numerous items from At Home America, Keri Reiland, gift certificates to Cole’s Salon in Apple Valley and Tu Nails in Lakeville. Make-n-takes and scrapbook albums were donated by Julie Berg.
The group was treated to breakfast and lunch courtesy of Sharon Dunham and Molly Ryan. Snacks were available all day courtesy of Linda Warner and Becky Pressnall. Dinner by Old Chicago in Apple Valley ensured that we all left with full, happy tummies!
Register now for the 2009 Scrapbooking Fundraiser for ALS! It will take place on February 21st from 10am to 9pm.
